Right now, dashboard widgets can only be created in the django admin area. All app-specific widgets have to be created in the admin area of each app. I would propose, having another entry in the admin submenu inside AlekSIS's main side menu, that leads you to a widget managing page. There you could create all possible kinds of widgets at one specific place
