Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
in the case of overlapping absences with the same reason, the _extended_absence mechanism doesn't really save the input, leading to problems with our gql mutations (no id delivered / extended_absence not passed as mutation 'result'?)
